Rise
Rise is a nonprofit whose leaders have helped pass 114 laws for more than 112 million people and counting. Rise has included students such as Paris Hilton, who was awarded the “Extraordinary Change Maker of the Year” Award. She has successfully championed and lobbied for the passage of laws, including California Senate Bill 1043 and the federal Stop Institutionalized Child Abuse Act.
In 2024, Hannah Scott successfully lobbied and helped introduce House Bill 367, which would impact 3.2 million people.
New York Fashion Week · 2026
In 2026, Hannah walked in the Rise Fashion Show at the New York Stock Exchange during New York Fashion Week.
On September 14, 2026, Rise and e.l.f. Beauty took over the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange for the annual Rise Fashion Show. This year’s theme asked, “What do your dreams cost?”, shining a light on the financial and career cost survivors of sexual violence so often carry.
Hannah walked in Bach Mai, alongside astronauts, Olympians, actors, and advocates, including Rise founder Amanda Nguyen and actress Ashley Judd. Other looks came from designers such as Tanya Taylor, Veronica Beard, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Kim Shui. More than 72,000 people applied to walk in the show.

Rise was founded by Harvard graduate Amanda Nguyen. You may know her as the 1st Viet & SEA woman in space, 2022 TIME Woman of the Year, 2019 Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, and NYT Bestselling author of Saving 5.
Children’s rights & protection
Hannah has a big heart for children surviving in complicated situations. She has volunteered hours and entire months of her life in service of Children’s Rights and Protection. This includes living in Kenya, Africa, and serving on the board of The Heart of Little Explorers.
While in Kenya, Hannah helped create organization systems and operations for a school and took care of 30 girls who came from complex families. She plans to open a girls’ home in Kenya to help overcome the gender education gap.
One of the largest factors in this gap is period poverty: the lack of access to menstrual products, sanitation, and safe spaces to manage menstruation, which takes countless girls out of school for weeks every month. For girls, this means missing school every month, falling behind, and in many cases, dropping out altogether.
This isn’t just about hygiene. It’s about dignity, opportunity, and the right to learn.
The Heart of Little Explorers is a mother-run not-for-profit organization that assists local foster families, mothers, and like-minded local charities with community support, training programs, workshops, and special events.
Community
In 2017, Hannah Scott founded and led a moms community known as Beach Moms. This community acted as a lifeline, a learning hub, and a safe haven for moms who lived on the beach and in neighboring towns of Pinellas County, FL.
Beach Moms led weekly and monthly meetups and personal development workshops, offered discounts to local businesses, and more. Beach Moms also extended its resources to open Beach Business Network, a networking group that was a hub for down-to-earth mompreneurs.
